IRSMedBen Compliance has updated its High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP)/Health Savings Account (HSA) summary to include 2021 IRS guidelines.
In 2021, the HDHP minimum required deductible will remain at $1,400 for self-only coverage ($2,800 for family coverage), while the limit on HDHP out-of-pocket expenses will increase to $7,000 for self-only coverage ($14,000 for family coverage).
If your HDHP is tied to an HSA, the annual HSA contribution limit in 2021 will increase to $3,600 for self-only coverage ($7,200 for family coverage).
Other than these cost-of-living adjustments, the HDHP/HSA guidelines remain unchanged from 2020. But if you have questions regarding any aspect of the guidelines, please contact Director of Compliance and Medical Management Erin Kelly at 740-522-7368 or ekelly@medben.com.
