The 13th Annual Sherrill Morgan Healthcare Innovation Conference, held September 17-18, brought together employers from Ohio, Kentucky and Tennessee to discuss practical ways to manage health care costs. Chairman & CEO Kurt Harden, Vice President of Sales & Marketing Brian Fargus, and Director of Sales Brooke Hupp represented MedBen in sessions on pharmacy, data analytics, and plan design.
In “The Specialty Drug Revolution,” Harden discussed strategies that improve access to specialty medications while lowering costs. With specialty drugs still a challenge for self-funded plans, the session focused on a more strategic approach to this growing share of pharmacy spend.
Fargus took part in the conference’s Power Hour with “The Data Analytics Trap.” His remarks centered on going beyond simply collecting and reviewing plan data to using it for making concrete changes in benefit design and cost management.
Hupp joined the “Innovation Award for Plan Design” session, using a MedBen client case study to show how targeted design can address specific cost and care challenges and deliver measurable results.
