Giving back has long been part of MedBen’s connection to the community we serve. As a company, MedBen has supported organizations including Ohio Jobs and Family Services, The Salvation Army, United Way, Licking County Community Health Clinic, A Call to College, and the Midland Theatre, among many others.

That commitment extends beyond company-sponsored efforts. Team members also give their own time, talents, and resources — serving on boards, helping veterans and children, supporting local arts and education, and stepping up when their communities need them.

Here are just a few:

  • Brooke Hupp, Director of Sales, sits on the board of the Food Pantry Network, helping address hunger throughout Licking County. She also serves on the Licking County Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors.
  • Julie Gray, Proposal Coordinator, volunteers with the Milan (Indiana) American Legion. Fundraising there supports local veterans, school clothing and food drives, scholarships, youth programs, and neighbors facing unexpected hardship.
  • SueMarie Bellis, Controller, serves on the Board of Directors for Weathervane Playhouse, a Licking County performing arts organization that has entertained and educated audiences for more than five decades.
  • Tanya Oder, Lead Customer Service Liaison, is president of the LaSertoma chapter in Utica, Ohio. The group supports local food pantries, awards scholarships, encourages youth volunteerism, and assists other community causes.
  • Tara Beal, Billing Group Coordinator, donates blood as regularly as she can — giving that can have an immediate, lifesaving effect. She also encourages others who are able to donate to do the same.
  • Wayne Millard, Director of MIS, serves as president of the Weathervane Playhouse Board and is a Community-Based Big with Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Licking and Perry Counties. He also supports children and youth programs through his church and other churches across Ohio.

For some team members, giving reaches well beyond their own communities.

  • Amber Feyh, Customer Service Representative, sponsors a child in Uganda through Compassion International, providing ongoing support and building a personal connection through letters and updates about his life and education.
  • Caroline Fraker, President, COO & CPO, works with Partners in Ministry in Liberia (PIMIL) to raise funds for Liberian students and sponsors two young Liberian women, one of whom is entering nursing school.

MedBen is proud of the work these and other employees do to better the lives of others, close to home and around the world — and equally proud to have them on our team. Thanks to everyone who gives back!
